At Tailored Family Wellbeing, our mission is to empower and support neurodivergent individuals and their families through compassionate, holistic and personalised social work, NDIS support coordination and counselling services.
Our practice framework is deeply focused upon working holistically; addressing the comprehensive needs of neurodivergent individuals and their families, integrating physical, emotional, social, and environmental factors to provide well-rounded and effective support.
We don’t just deliver ad-hoc generic support; we tailor our approach to the unique needs, strengths, and preferences of neurodivergent individuals and their families, ensuring that each intervention and support plan is personalized and empowering.
Tailored Family Wellbeing is different to other services; we draw from personal and shared experiences to connect with neurodivergent individuals and their families, providing relatable support and practical insights. All staff have lived experience of either being a carer/family member of someone neurodivergent or have lived experience themselves.
Our core values are more than just words; they are the foundation of our work, consistently guiding us with utmost integrity in every endeavor:
Inclusivity: ensuring that neurodivergent individuals and their families are heard, respected, and fully integrated into the planning and decision-making processes about their care and support. We advocate for supportive and accepting environments where diverse needs and perspectives are honoured. We celebrate the extraordinary diversity of people’s neurotypes, genders, bodies, sexualities, relationships, cultures and ethnicities.
Compassion: actively listening, showing empathy, and providing unwavering support to neurodivergent individuals and their families, ensuring they feel understood, valued, and cared for throughout their journey.
Trust: consistently being reliable, transparent, and respectful, fostering a safe and supportive environment where open communication and mutual understanding can thrive.
Collaboration: actively partnering with neurodivergent individuals, their families, and all relevant stakeholders, including other professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive support plans that reflect diverse perspectives and expertise.
Empowerment: equipping neurodivergent individuals and their families with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to regain control over their lives, fostering self-determination and autonomy in every aspect of their journey.
